The physicians of Tuckahoe Orthopaedic Associates are committed to keeping our patients informed. We believe the informed patient and physician are able to work together to effectively select preferred treatment options and post- operative rehabilitation. Taped presentations of procedures and diagnostic tests are available for patient viewing. Brochures and other printed materials are also used to enhance patient awareness.

Clinical Research

Research undertaken in an effort to advance patient care and the field of orthopaedics is a principal focus of the physicians of Tuckahoe Orthopaedic Associates. This exemplifies one of the major factors that separate us from other orthopaedic groups locally. Tuckahoe Orthopaedic physicians are dedicated to continuing research and development of new orthopaedic procedures, techniques and instrumentation. Such research has culminated in the presentation of over 500 peer review articles, text book chapters and professional paper presentations. Tuckahoe Orthopaedic Associates, in cooperation with Orthopaedic Research of Virginia, a privately funded education and research organization, is committed to the continuing education of their peers. A highly respected postgraduate fellowship program with emphasis on Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy has resulted from this collaboration.
